It seems to me that the actual problem with the James thing isn’t the reported vindictive prosecution but the refusal to provide exculpatory materials as required to be provided under the law.
That’s a huge problem for the prosecution. A vindictive prosecution, if she did lawbreaking (apparently she did not, probably because the law’s mushy so the wealthy absolutely can legally do what James allegedly did. Which of course would then loop back to vindictive prosecution.
Quick FBI question: Where's Deputy Director Dan Bongino disappeared to? Not a mention of him in any media for ages, it appears. Such an effective Bureau -NOT!
Now there's a good question...Ka$h is drawing all the bad coverage, but Bongino? Quietly working over the Epstein stuff in the FBI's possession? Downloading material to stock his podcast, pending his return?
To borrow a title from a Monty Python sketch: "How not to be seen."
Yes it's the tRump regime, yes they're virtually immune to embarrassment, yes they're going after tRump's "enemies", but Bill Pulte is really causing PR problems, as his handiwork has broken the EDVA office and resulted in the calamitous "appointment" of tRump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, called out repeatedly by the federal judge overseeing the James Comey trial — for quite frankly, incompetence.
Oh, and let's not forget the "50-yr mortgage! " , another idea Pulte pulled out of his bunghole.
Don't see a bright future for Pulte, unless he can pull an "Easy" Ed Martin, and get shuffled into another appointment to continue his trouble-making...only the best people [ sigh].
OT: A nice interview here conducted by CJR - online with Josh Marshall, founder and "spiritual head" of TPM...a good read, and why Morning Memo is as insightful as it is (hint: no corporate master to obey):
Wow! What a summary of the current state of the corrupt Trump Administration. I feel fully briefed and on alert. 🚨

But the other problem’s bigger IMO.

As Louisiana Senator Fluster J. Cluck might put it, "WTAF?"
