Blowing up fishing boats or migrant smugglers may be balm for tRump's strong-man ego, but he's clearly issuing illegal orders under the UCMJ, and those in the military who are following his orders unquestioningly may someday rue their actions. This is just rank murder on the high seas, no matter how the victims are characterized. Alleged "drug smugglers" by no stretch of the imagination or US law can be considered "armed combatants" operating under a "state of war" rubric...that is, if we don't take the timeworn "War on drugs" trope literally.

Until these judges put people in jail nothing will change. Hope springs eternal I guess but I'm not holding out much.

I never really thought of Kirk as an activist. More like a propagandist who targets young immature minds and grooms them with his ideology.

So how many real crimes are not being prosecuted while the Trump justice department, a misnomer if I ever heard one, runs around exacting retribution and labeling any dissent as hate speech?

Bummer if the James thing never proceeds from this point. She’d have an awesome civil action against DOJ, maybe even a $15 BILLION one.

As for Obama, a) his quoted pap is much too little much too late and /) ignores 5he reality that one side of the issue is insane which is to say incapable of any compromise that doesn’t involve submission by the other side. We all know bipartisanship tests well but the bipartisanship referenced in the message testing died over thirty years ago. Jerking people around with that idiotic BS has already been proven an electoral failure.

Right now, the FBI, Justice Department, CIA, NSA and other similar agencies have fired or demoted countless experts in terrorism, crime fighting and intelligence gathering. The Department of Defense is now calling itself the War Department but several vacancies exist because of firing black and women ranking officers, as well as dismissing others because of their sexuality or gender. All as they’ve told us they are now going to wage war against free speech, and Americans they don’t like as well as black and brown skinned Americans and people of color or non citizens on U.S. soil…this in addition to threats of waging war against Canada, Denmark, Greenland, Venezuela, Panama, Columbia and motorboats in the Gulf and Caribbean and the war against the Houthis (who they?)…plus Los Angeles, Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans, New York City, vaccines, windmills, solar, panels, cancer research, disabled veterans and children, Medicaid, farmers….that’s a lot of troops, analysts, prosecutors, agents, battleships, jets, carriers, etc. and will take more than Vance Bondi and Miller running their mouths and Kennedy and Pete Kegstand doing pushups…

Bravisimmo for MM, esp. 1st 2. Dead to rights. The 'catch' for MM, an "encore" follows this cry. The 'catch' for MM readers, the clarity can be crushing. isn't it "bipartisanship" anymore either sand in your gears OR inhumanity-?

I heard Ben Shapiro on Ezra Klein's podcast dismiss Letitia James' jury felonies against Trump in NYC as frivolous, disappintingly without any push back from Ezra; essentially running cover for Martin's "bogosity" in the new mainstream media. It's astonishing how much mileage conservatives have gotten out of that "Flight 93 Election" essay from 2016, which struck me at the time as so paranoid style preposterous it couldn't possibly stick. But here they are nearly a decade later returning to its elite panic jeopardy thesis over and over, glossing over whatever rightwing illiberality and inhumanity as a necessary reaction to the left liberal woke mind virus. Trump warns us repeatedly he is saving the country from left lunatic catastrophe. And what is the catastrophe? Taxing and regulating the oligarchy and granting basic human rights to anybody other than straight white men.
