The amazing story about the apple tree detectives was fascinating! It has changed the way I look at my local apple here in the Okanagan Valley of BC 🇨🇦. I wonder how many old, possibly neglected, unknown varieties exist here in the apple growing regions of Canada.
According to a NYT report, arrests of immigrants prior to deportation is running round 50,000(!) people a month in recent months, reflecting a supercharging of efforts by the Miller/Homan gang, in order to hit their own target of 1,000,000(!!!) deportations/yr...unbelievable, as I reckoned that sheer incompetence by this crowd would militate sorely against the mass levels of arrests. Guess I was wrong.
Man, Aileen Cannon is such a triggering issue. It brings up memories of how Smith and the Biden DOJ as a result allowed her to pull shit to protect Trump without a single peep. Yes, I know it would not have been a slam dunk but with the nation and arguably much of the rest of the world facing an existential crisis, our protectors blinked. And here we are.
Tell me great a POTUS was. That failure — that cowardice — far outweighs the brief, short term good that came out of that administration.
As for the media oppressed by not being allowed to be a prop at Trump White House Briefings and Spews of BS, a fun fact: At least at the moment, they remain absolutely free to report on Trump honestly. Don’t need to be at a White House briefing to do that. But the major outlets don’t choose to do it, with the closest that comes to mind are pundits on the TV ie people expressing opinions and the occasional “analysis” or op-ed in newspapers.
You know, just for some context and perspective and stuff.
And, what's up with the 11th CA continually pushing hearings ever backwards on the motions challenging Cannon's lockup of Jack Smith's Vol II report? Initially, it looked like the Court would fast-track the motion to release, but has apparently been tied up with undisclosed procedural issues.
Looks as though we must have a change in administration before this case moves significantly forward.
