Re Smartmatic: I’m so old that I remember that when e-voting first became viable, it was Republicans pushing it and libs who were concerned. The concern was relatively easy hacking and the lack of a paper trail as it were to double check the counts. (Yes, I know the old time eternal problem with paper ballots.) Safe to say that what libs saw as bugs, Republicans saw as features. We should know from Bush v Gore that the GOP is not the party of true democracy.
Re Bondi and the others and threats against them: I assume that the threats are legitimate and not just claimed by Bondi et al. I mean, being housed on military bases sounds like a grift to me…

The public has 30 days to file a comment on the federal register regarding the justice department’s new rule elevating their ability to review bar complaints before the states have a chance to do so.
