Re: Ecuadorian fishermen blown out of their boats by US drones...not only suffering trauma, injury, and the loss of their fishing boat, the survivors were then taken a couple of thousand miles away from their homes and deposited in Bukele's El Salvador, then questioned for hours by "intelligence officials".
It's to their everlasting good fortunate that the men weren't tossed into CECOT, to disappear into a US "partner's" black hole.
No mention in the Guardian article if the US gunboat on the scene found "thousands of pounds of Fentanyl", but no doubt they're still looking.
Deeper reporting here by Dropsite News on the "anti-drug-smuggling" operations by the US and its Ecuadorean "partner" directed against fishermen off the coast of Ecuador...sobering read, and an insight to how militarized "anti-drug" policies are causing untold casualties amongst innocent people trying to scrap together a living.
Those responsible for the policy and its implementation need to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity. I don’t expect it to happen anytime soon, but I’d love to live to see it.
