Judge Richard Myers who just ruled against the Republicans in North Carolina was appointed by Donald J trump. Hmmm, He is also an African American. How long until Dear Leader calls him a “low IQ Judge?"

In my mind this has seriously damaged the North Carolina brand. My family moved there and they drop hints about me joining them and I see how purely anti-democratic and power-for-power-sake worshipping the state Republican Party is and I totally resist subjecting myself to that. I could never see myself living there.

NC was one of the early GOPer REDMAP targets, and did they ever succeed! Gerrymandered the shit out of the state, no legal recourse, and it's anybody's guess when if ever state and federal officeholders will accurately reflect the actual will of the voters.

NC is a very mixed bag. The big university towns are predominantly liberal/progressive but the rural areas just the opposite. I have lots of family there but would never consider living there myself, because of the geography. I will not live east of the great plains.

Hoping the 4th Circuit

will squash anymore

nonsense from NC.

David. No one can be too confident in how the fourth circuit will rule here. they may decide on other than due process considerations. Martin is a political albatross and the GOP will disappoint him. The free for all battle with the universities will continue for some time until Trump gets bored with it. Politics as usual here in America- plus ça change
