Terrific opening paragraph!

Debate spin already in place: tRump can act as badly as he pleases, as his support is locked in; Kamala Harris needs a huge performance in order to win over "30%" of the undecided voters. Ultimately, no matter how well Harris does, it'll never be enough, by corporate media standards.

So now she’s not tall enough? Sheesh

I swear I remember complaints that women had height requirements for men.

55 days and an undecided is still undecided; brain worms

are evidently contagious.

Easy decision this election.

You're either up for Freedom

Of all the stupid things that go on in an election year, debates are hands down the stupidest. A 19th century anachronism that has no relevance in the 21st.

Democracy doesn’t die in darkness. It dies in stupidity.

Oh come on. They are all Democrats and of COURSE they are kidnapping children to drink their youthful blood.

What IS this obsession with drop boxes? For an "illegal immigrant" to use one they have to have a ballot. Here in WA each ballot has a unique number. Once that number has voted, no other votes on that number count. A drop box could be stuffed with copies and it would make no difference. Nor does it matter how many individual ballots any person deposits on behalf of others, for the same reason.

If Arizona doesn't have that system, they dang well better implement it.

As to "stolen" ballots, signature verification is the first step, before the ballot even gets to the person who opens and records it. Signatures that don't match are investigated with the voter to whom the ballot was sent. Recently we were asked to re-sign to be sure our signatures haven't changed. I have a check from 1968 paying my electric bill back then (all $5 of it). My signature is exactly the same. If I'd had a stroke, it might have changed, I will admit. But again, if it HAD changed, someone would have called me. The Re-Sign is presumably to cut down on the phone calls needed.

Presumably a determined illegal immigrant who ALSO has access to an exemplar of the signature of the person who was mailed the ballot and is a good forger could just...stick a stamp on it and mail it. (Here, the ballots are post-paid, btw). Is CPAC going to monitor every mailbox in the state?

As far as I know most drop boxes here have some sort of monitoring, but that's mostly to catch folks vandalizing the box--shoving in runny dog poop or a lighted match. The boxes, btw, are emptied daily and transported to the vote-counters in an armored car. (They are also inventoried at the time). Rather safer than that corner PO box being picked up by some rogue mail carrier with a political gripe.

The only POSSIBLE reason CPAC could have for monitoring drop boxes is to challenge people who don't "look right."

It's especially important because of the violence that Trump and companying are promising whether he wins or loses in November.

Harris has to do everything just right: introduce herself to the non-interested who could've watched even a minimal amount of the DNC, prove that she's likable but can be strong, presidential but 'just like you and me', command the stage and deflect everything trump throws at her, make her case for voting for her, blah...blah...blah...

All trump has to do is refrain from grabbing her by the pussy and he's just fine.
