The police state doesn't even need to worry about a Gestapo (secret police of the Nazis) or "unofficial" civilian collaborating spies (as in communist East Germany). It's all happening in plain sight now.

The French Revolution never sounded so appealing.

God help us all.

All of his nasty

in the middle of the

night? Yes, please tell us

how this man in TN

compares to the

American citizens are at the mercy of the very people they elect to local, state or federal office as we see here. The interpretation of the meme by Sheriff Weems doesn't sound like a legally valid argument as we all know but the poor guy is still sitting in jail with an impossible bail. We are told to trust our police forces to protect us and then we read things like this.

$2,000,000 bail for echoing a FB meme? In what universe does this stand? Oh, right, it's Tennessee, of course. Yet another state that has lost its collective mind and gone all MAGA...smh.

You describe charlie kirk as an activist, but a more accurate description would be propagandist. I guess more neutral description would be both activist and propagandist. As a journalist, you know words are important. Do better. This is akin to saying, "he had sex with underage women". I'm pretty sure women would call that raping a teen. Right wing media doesn't put lipstick on a pig, why do you?
