The demolition of the facade of the East Wing is once again proof positive that nobody should ever believe a single word that Donald Trump ever says. The man only uses speech to get what he wants, with zero concern as to whether or not it's truthful. And he never, ever, keeps his promises.
More, it's instructive to consider the facade's destruction (along with his second destruction of the Rose Garden) as the physical illustration that Trump will destroy any part of government, regardless of how critical and/or venerable it might be, that stands in the way of him reshaping our government to suit his hate-filled will.

The crashingly inept Lindsey Halligan was totally schooled by Anna Bower, a skilled and scrupulously diligent legal writer and court reporter for the Lawfare blog...Halligan initiated the exchange by complaing about "inaccuracies" in Bower's quoting of a NYT article on the Tish James "mortgage fraud" indictment...but despite MULTIPLE attempts by Anna Bower to actually have Halligan cite these alleged "inaccuracies", none was forthcoming...and finally, to cap this absurd convo Halligan insists — long after the fact — that the entire Signal exchange was "off the record". A perfect dénouement of Halligan's deficiency of nous and embarrassing efforts to...well, to do WHAT? Oy vey!
