Democrats could solve the Tuberville problem by this weekend. Just hold the senate 24/7 and force a vote on each individual. Once Tuberville's prostate explodes he'll back down or croak. That they refuse to even broach this idea tells me they like things the way they are.
Brian Mast is as brain dead as his state. He can't even make a basic comparison. The comparison is not between Palestinian civilians and "Nazi" civilians--that begs the question. It is between Palestinian civilians and GERMAN civilians, a lot of whom were innocent and a lot of whom died. Some brave enough to resist; others as afraid of the Gestapo and the SS as any ordinary Palestinian is of Hamas.

As a retired litigator, mostly in state and local courts, my professional sense is that statement from Smith is just them f***ing with Cannon because everyone knows what she’s doing in her assistance to the defendant.
That’s one thing I’m not stressing over til there’s a superseding indictment with all the espionage and indiscriminate and/or irrational sharing of state secrets (🤞🏻).
The other thing I’m not stressing yet is the trials getting all messed up and delayed calendaring-wise. Again: better all this hanging over fPOTUS through the resolution of the 2024 election. Better that than acquittal which would give him an image of invulnerability, maybe that didn’t engage in any wrongdoing. Better for the poorly and uninformed to presume the worst about him and having nothing indicating any error in believing the worst about him than, you know, dealing with any acquittal indicating that maybe he’s not so criminal after all. (Of course, the truth is that the four criminal cases barely scratch the surface.)
I can’t help but wonder if Joe Scarborough is Ron Desantis’ campaign manager. Joe hosted him and cooed as Ron parroted Joe’s rants about Republicans needing to distance from Trump to WIN. When Ron claimed broad American support for 6 week abortion ban, no pushback. Lots of softballs from all but Willie Geist, who addressed Ron’s ‘slit their throats’ threats against civil servants.
