In an office within the Presidential Palace, San Salvador: "Sr. Presidente, you have President tRump on the telephone...
— I know what he wants, we rehearsed it last week...Hola, Mr President!
— Hey, Bukele, the judges are on my back again, they're bad, bad people.
— Ah, si, si, Señor, so here's what you tell them: We claim total sovereignty over rapists and murderers in our prisons, and no way will we let them out, including MS-13 narco gangster Abrego Garcià!
— Good man! And muchos gracias for your help...I'll pass it on to Pam and li'l Marco!
— Hasta la vista, Mr President...call me anytime, si?
David, it may just my imagination, but it seems to me that Trump, for whatever reasons, is beginning to withdraw from leadership a bit, allowing other cabinet members like Rubio and Bondi to become more assertive. Age, increasing neurologic conditions- it's really hard to tell, but there's no doubt he's still the prime mover. I no longer think there's a hidden power, like Musk or Putin behind the throne.
Thank you David for a
really good opening. And
yes, Louisiana gov't in all
forms has always been a
corrupt system with a
very dark side, even
before Huey Long.
1 more day and this
week is done, thankfully.
Poor, poor little Marco. I
have just the place for
him to go, to heal from
his hurts. He can take
Trump with him.
