"It’s not a House bill, it’s not a Senate bill, it’s the American people’s bill."

Yes, and the people hate it, Mr. Speaker.

"The money will be spent on Trump’s future presidential library, as part of the agreement."

There it is again, the fecking "tRump liberry" scam...everybody but everybody just KNOWS that all these legal settlements that include "donations" to this mythical library are just bankrolling non-taxable slush funds for the benefit of tRump and his shite grifting family. But, we all play along, nothing to see here, it's just tRump being tRump, whatevs.

It’s SUPPOSED TO BE a House and Senate bill if Congress was doing its job which is NOT to kowtow to the self appointed King.

I'm not sure we talk enough about the fact that Trump's "base" can't be more than 25% of registered voters. That makes it all the more amazing that he continues to bend the Republicans in Congress to his will. Can't those suckers count? Maybe the 2026 congressional elections will open their eyes.

Those 25% are armed and don't hesitate to throw death threats around.

"We'll kill you" is often easily ignored. "We know where your kids go to school" isn't as well received.

Thanks. I didn't realize that Republicans in Congress were actually getting physical threats against themselves and their families. The fact that they don't think they can rely on state and federal law enforcement for protection is a topic itself. No?

keep thinking about Philip Roth's comments about reality's constant overtaking of our ability to imagine. This is all mind-boggling crazy and sick.

It is demoralizing how many villains and cowards are in government nowadays. It is disheartening to see how far the party of Lincoln has fallen. Trump has led them into a swamp into which they will surely sink and not be seen again.

If there is a god, come November, 2026 li'l Mikey Johnson will be out of his Majority "Leader" position, and retreat to a back-bencher for the purposes of lying to his thousands of constituents suddenly denied Medicaid enrollment...MAGA!

Hope that it is so. Hope that we have elections. Hope people don't have their usual amnesia as the news cycle churns on. Hope our side doesn't get resigned to the new tyrannical "normal" and give up resisting. Hope that as we go out shopping and carry on life as normal that we not forget that WE HAVE LOST A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF OUR FREEDOMS. Hope, hope, hope...how I miss Obama.

These people won’t be seen again, only if the court prosecutors ignore their crimes.

But that time will be in a too-remote future.
