Re the corruption or perversion of DOJ: This should have been expected when the pathological, monstrous protege of Roy Cohn complained that his DOJ during his first administration wasnβt acting vindictively on his behalf.
Seriously, I donβt know what people were expecting on his return to office.
Iβve seen a lot of liars in my time. Riverboat gamblers, land speculators, newspaper editors.
But none of them had the gall to lie about their lies that cover for each other's lies about past lies.
The trick isn't now to come up with a good lie. Itβs to tell so many, that nobody can keep track of them.
The dog ate my homework doesn't seem to cut it anymore.
The dog now has to have a car - with an accident - after driving its way to a dance (which is why I couldn't get the paper out of its mouth) because it had somehow been flown to an out-of-state kennel - somewhere in Florida - for emergency experiments in the name of SCIENCE.
That way, when the truth shows up, it looks suspicious. The dog actually got flown to another country and was left sitting on the runway.
I used to say, βIf you tell the truth, you donβt have to remember anything.β
But, these folks in the Trump regime donβt remember anything anyway.
So, they have to turn to lying like itβs a profession.
They lie before breakfast.
They lie during lunch.

I saw in the National Enquirer, JD Vance got up in the morning and told his wife he was going to work. Somebody told me not to believe it, because THAT rag peddles in fake news!
I personally read the Daily Planet And Mail myself.
The Planet insisted that Vance went on vacation - at least TEN times by my count. And that was since January. Three weeks every month! What does he do with all that time?
And where do all these other people go? Epstein Island!
Is this some fantastic version of a congressional resort where each strong man has beautiful ladies clamoring over him, on an empty three mile long sandy beach? All to himself with a margarita in each hand?
Back in my day, a man would lie to get out of trouble. But, Trump lied to get INTO trouble! And now that he's in, he has to LIE to stay there.

That said, I also believe that mass demos like Saturday are essential to show that not everyone is submitting like all our leaders are. And that 2ho knows who might be inspired to do something.

It's interesting the people that are doing some of the liking: Obama, Musk, etc. The range goes across all social stratifications.
The protests provide a kind of public opinion poll on the electorate by the electorate on issues. so, the typical rule is multiply out each person that shows up by 10, and that's how many people there are that feel STRONGLY about something. attendance is expected to be 10 million but maybe higher. that's 100 million people - a lot of voters.
So, I have to keep clearing my cellphone to open up my inbox. but, from what I can see, is little people are making a HUGE difference. they ARE the nation talking.
It's too bad they didn't talk when Hitler was around. they could have stopped WW2, thrown him in jail for life, and saved 70 million lives
Since this is the first administration to have a formal division of weaponization within the DoJ, itβs not too surprising that we are seeing major weaponization in its actions. As with everything else out of this WH, every accusation is a confession.
The murders on the high seas no longer have ANY legal restraints, as the CNN article points out. Don't like the JAG findings on the law? Easily fixed β get new lawyers, as the Pentagon has done. Scenes right out of the Rumsfeld/John Woo torture era during Shrub's "War on Terror".
