I have been thinking a lot who has standing/jurisdiction to stop this distribution of funds. All of the lawyers who are involved are violating their respective states' rules of professional responsibility. I can't do this, because none of them are from the state I live in. But people who live, for instance, in whatever state gave Todd Blanche his license to practice law should start filing complaints with the state bar association. In massive numbers. Also, is there a way for the Democrats in Congress to go to court to get some sort of independent counsel appointed? Maybe Trump can't be prosecuted, but the people around him can. Is there anyone outside the DOJ who has jurisdiction to do that? Are there state laws being broken that would enable any of the state attorneys general to start any action? (I would prefer something criminal and indictments, not another lawsuit.) And, is there any precedent for any sort of taxpayer class action?
Idea! Let’s stipulate that every day I post: “Don’t worry, tomorrow will be worse” and I won’t have to post.
Anyway, as we should know by now, no one, ever, gets away with saying no to Donny, even By den’s DOJ was disinterested in making anything like the requisite effort. (Bases: Proven security risk and gratuitous killing of Americans.)
But, you know, with the entire leadership class OK with Trump, putative national opposition party included. (Re that last thing, apparently Jeffries for one thinks the path to electoral success in November will come from disappointing voters before the election instead of getting elected first.)
As for Donny’s edifice complex, I’m so old that I remember his Stormy characterized his junk so edifice complex tracks 💯.
Every day I read your excellent summaries with a twisted version of Alice’s Wonderland words in my head: “Worser and worser...”
There is no bottom.
The damage from this unfettered regime and the sniveling, morally bankrupt GOP (looking at you, Congress) will take decades to recover from when/if we are ever free of them. DC alone will need a national wrecking crew to tear down the trumpification of it. And every single person involved, including those partaking of the billion dollar insurrectionist slush fund, should be publicly prosecuted in our own Nuremberg trials and treated like the members of the Confederacy should have been 160 years ago.
I hope someone is keeping a running tally of the billions and billions of dollars they are stealing from us without even trying to hide it anymore. Despite the GOP’s limp virtue signaling re: potential election blowback, we know the magats won’t even care.
A Weissman suggests this looting-fund is illegal. So who could/would prosecute? {D} State AGs?-would need to find standing, etc in their own states. And, people don't want to hear that the pivotal problem is MIA congress, and that said congress reflects the culture from which it arises. The country has been poisoned, ravaged for several decades -- a sure way to destroy community and humanity.

Judge Bruce E. Reinhart recused himself? I wonder why?
