The salient message re: the Judge Hannah Dugan conviction — and the most important amongst the three listed by David — is that this was a prosecution that could only have been brought forth by this regime, for very obvious reasons — set an example, and warn off other state-level or lower jurisdictions to stay the hell out of immigration enforcement, full stop.
"disproportionate" doesn't come CLOSE to describing trump's recent reactions to anything he thinks he can use to scare people into making him think he looks 'strong?' One Afghan shoots, all are dangerous? One green card lottery system guy shoots, all those who got green cards this way are dangerous? We don't actually know the motives of either perp, or why they were driven to do what they did. No, just blame it on their being immigrants. I wonder whether, if any of the Afrikaners allowed to come here, shoots someone there will be a ban on all Afrikaners?
As to the "anti fa" cell in Texas. I sit here typing, dressed all in back except for a picture of a cat knocking a glass off the table. Who knew I was in an anti-far cell??? And if wearing body armor means you are guilty of everything another person wearing the same is---does that mean if ONE ICE agent beats up a citizen, can the citizen get a tort judgment against ALL ICE agents in armor in the general vicinity???
