As a pediatrician, I need to clarify the statement about Trump’s Day 1 Executive Order. It was much worse than stating people had to be defined by their sex designated at birth. And this is important because the EO is BIOLOGICALLY WRONG. And to fight its consequences, that is important to understand. It stated “biological sex is immutable” and set “at fertilization” based on whether the zygote would produce “large or small” gametes. Trump eliminated intersex people entirely. Plus every word of that is wrong. For example, there are identical twins who ended up with one “male” and one “female” because of the way genes were sorted when the embryo divided into “identical” twins. Biological sex is BIMODAL, not binary. Variation is the norm. Plus gender and sex are not the same thing. Trump cannot change reality at will.
The issue was focus group tested, engineered from the beginning to be a wedge issue that could be used because it checked all the useful check boxes.
The Alliance Defending Freedom, a well-funded conservative Christian legal organization, drafted template legislation and distributed it systematically to state legislatures. ADF’s own attorney Matt Sharp confirmed in 2016 that lawmakers in at least five states had used their model legislation, and that ADF had mailed template bills to thousands of school districts. By 2026, the pattern remains structurally identical — conservative legal organizations including ADF continue to circulate model bills that are replicated across multiple states with minimal changes.
Trans people are a politically expedient minority group that prove useful to riling up the base.
It is one of the most cynical political operations in history.
But people need to realize, this could be literally ANY group, these people do no care who gets hurt, as long as they get what they want.
