I’ve got to admit, I have a difficult time squaring the idea that a) Trump is openly defying court orders and there’s no recourse for stopping him with b) “the courts are indispensable.”

It’s hard not to feel like the latter is a platitude that people who eat, drink, and breathe the law and have dedicated their lives to the law have to tell themselves for psychological reasons regardless of the facts on the ground. Hopefully I’m just being too cynical, though.

IMO, the response to the clip shown at the MI rally was more chilling than the showing of the clip.

And somewhere in between those poles is Whitmer’s embrace of Trump. But since the DNC has (or would have) no issue with it, who am I to complain? (/sarcasm)

Next they will be putting people in an arena to fight to the death. Forgive the negativity—I’m reading the latest Hunger Games installment.

That CECOT video was tRump's Leni Riefenstahl moment, red-meat propaganda for the enthralled masses, shouting and swooning as those images played across the big screen...dear god.

The anti education, anti science movement(the cult of stupid)runs deep in this country, going back over 200 years. trump managed to tap into that movement and make it, for the moment, ascendant(IMO these are the same people who always showed up to watch public executions cheering when the person died. public hangings in England, the French revolution Guillotine, bringing it forward, Pol Pot in Cambodia Or Blacks being lynched in the US South, men, women, even kids showed up to cheer, have a picnic then line up for pictures)

Curious about disbarment of John Eastman and Sidney Powell, I searched today and both are still not held accountable. Purging the background people seems virtually impossible without totally new people in all positions of power .

These processes seem designed to avoid accountability.

How is showing that video at his rally different from the soldiers (prosecuted) who posted dehumanizing pictures of war prisoners?

The video was once again horrifying to see, but the response of the crowd was disgusting and revolting. Who can respond in that way to those images? It is like cheering for the shaving of Nazi prisoners on their way to a death camp.

What kind of president

shows a video like that?

Better yet, what about

the people cheering it

on? These people have

no self awareness - one

wrong move, one stupid

statement on social

media - this could be

them! Is this Trump's

new road show?

Trump's an infection that

needs a heavy duty

antibiotic to get rid of.

That's us, the people

who don't believe in this

disgusting treatment of

friend or foe

Not to toot my own horn🎺 but I was right to reserve judgement on the Wisconsin judge case. Social media jumps the gun too often. In re Perkins Coie amended complaint: the litigation probably won't end until the sun burns down but it does tie up some of the DOJ's finite legal resources.

Trumpet says he can bring back Mr. Garcia but he won't do that. Now what? Ideally, impeachment for blatantly ignoring the Justices' order, but we know how that would go, considering the spineless Republicans in Congress.

I wonder if the fact that he is a citizen of El Salvador will give SCOTUS the excuse to put his fate in the hands of that country. They don’t need much of an excuse.

Impeachment, of and by itself is useless. trump has proved that. Enough Senators to convict(67) will never happen. Like FOTUS once said He could kill someone on 5th AV in NYC and no one would convict him
