The ProPublica article did Evans in, especially in his support of the victim's quest for real justice. Bad look in the Blanche DOJ eyes, but not content with just firing the man, Blanche is now prosecuting Evans on purely retributive "charges".
Another not- so-subtle warning to any remaining USAs holding to a higher standard than permitted currently...it's our way or the highway, or even a prosecution on the way out...nice.
It’s been clear for awhile or should have been that being in the Trump DOJ maybe wasn’t the best career for non-MAGAts.
In Evans’ case, by this point in time, one would think it was clear enough to one well enough educated to be able to get a AUSA gig what the actual nature of the Trump DOJ was. I suppose ambition maybe clouds one’s eyes and brains…

AUSA Matthew Evans should be given a medal of honor.

After I read the Pro Publica report I knew Evans would immediately be fired. It's no longer safe to commit the truth to writing in the DOJ.
