Cops lying… The great example, the cite for which I never kept, was of a cop being interviewed about their apprehending some creep who had abused a woman while the lying cop and clearly piece of shit reporter ignored what was happening in the background: That the woman was dealing with the creep herself while the cops did nothing except lie to the reporter.
Fun fact learned in my past career: One of the biggest problems for prosecutors is cops’ lies sabotaging their cases. Saw it happen once. The defendant had that look where any normal person would want him jailed for whatever reason because he just looked that dangerous.
The cop got caught in a stupid lie, the jury heard it as a framing or lynching and thereby an acquittal was obtained. The lie was insanely stupid but cops are that stupid.
The "BBB" is anything but "Beautiful" - how can anyone think that thousands and thousands of Americans being given a death sentence is anything other than disgusting?

To no one's surprise, Scotus voted 6-3 in support of Tennessee's ban on medical assistance to minors seeking gender transition, the infamous *Skrmetti* lawsuit. It's as though the *Bostock* decision had no controlling provisions, and that *Skrmetti* solidifies state practices to "disappear" trans people as a class, all in keeping with the tRump regime's "war on trans" as witnessed by the Court greenlighting the all-out purging of trans people in the US military.
Human rights take a back seat to hard-core ideology, a feature, not a bug, of the tRump era.

No praise and gratitude is sufficient to honor them and we should never take them for granted. Time after time they've come to our rescue, even the Reagan and Trump appointees.
Second my hair catches on fire and steam comes out of my ears when I read about those cleverly phrased replies to the simple question of whether Biden was lawfully elected president in 2020. I remember that same evasiveness before Congress in the Jan 6 hearings. Given growing evidence, it is entirely unclear if Trump himself was lawfully elected in 2024.
