If this country does not show up in overwhelming numbers to protest, to vote, to speak out LOUDLY…we are royally screwed. What the arsonists of our democracy don’t seem to grasp is that they will be no safer than us.

Was the Texas professor actually teaching there are more than two sexes (technically speaking there are, but that's a minor occurrence)? Or was s/he teaching that gender and biological sex are not the same thing, and that in fact until the sixties "gender" was a purely grammatical term? Gender refers to the characteristic presentation of a sex--once girls couldn't play with trains, or boys with dolls. That rigidity of characterizing "sex" has obviously much vanished until culture warriors got their panties and/or boxers in a twist about people who choose to define themselves as having the characteristics of their non-birth sex.

Justice "I love beer" wrote a 10-page "concurrence" of the CA racial profiling case, that attempted to "defend" the 6-Justice majority stay, and his opinions only further discredited their decision. I mean to say, nothing wrong with rousting people on (1), appearance, (2) language spoken or accented English, (3) location of raids, and (4) type of job that all factor in to "reasonable" search-and-seizure operations.

Getting very close to *Korematsu*, and are "camps" to follow?

During WWII, Russia and

Germany joined together

in making countries

stateless/no

sovereignty; Lithuania,

Poland and Latvia were

were a couple examples

of this. It had

devastating effects on

the populations of these

countries.

Cleta Mitchell seems to

be moving to deny state

sovereignty here, in the

lead up to elections and

beyond.

Mark Ellias of Democracy Docket has been writing about the election steal. He and TPM seem to the only ones taking it seriously and reporting on it.
