Okay, I was thinking the two definitions were flipped. I looked at the online dictionary for Merriam-Webster just now, and it does show it flipped from what you’re saying also. Dis is propaganda and/or deliberate false information, misinformation is wrong information. So in that scenario yes, stop the steal is disinformation.
Perhaps I am being too picky but what even is English, right?
Good morning, David, and a hearty hat/tip for the writeup on the stellar work done at the SCOTUS bar by SG Elizabeth Prelogar...she by far has made up for the deficiencies shown by AG Garland at Main Justice, and has a brilliant career ahead of her. Can't think of any better talent than she to represent the government and we the people in front of an often hostile Court...Bravissima!
Apparently Ms McDaniel is going to sue for defamation. Good luck on finding a word anybody said about her that wasn't the absolute truth.
As for the US Solicitor General, I guess now we know why the leader of the white male heterosexual christian club thinks women shouldn't be lawyers, because they are so much better at it than men.
"Hush money case". Please, TPM, don't promote that Luntz-inspired framing of this case, which only helps delegitimize it in the minds of those paying scant attention. It's an election interference case, as you well know!
Yeah, me, too -- but clearly the framing that this is all about hushing up some unpleasant little peccadillo just does not reflect the seriousness of the matter, and allows it to be discounted. John Edwards was not convicted, and the public mostly shrugged -- in part because of the framing of that case. Committing a fraud against the public by illegally attempting to conceal from us information we need to know in order to make an informed electoral decision is a big deal. If this case were just about hiding a sleazy affair from one's wife, or even from the public but outside of the election context, it would hardly matter in the larger scheme of things. I strongly urge you to frame this in a manner more reflective of the seriousness of the alleged crime. That said, I remain extremely grateful to you for all your excellent work!
I totally agree, this is an election interference case. I was going to leave a comment on this but others beat me to it. Now, let us call this what it is.
I’m sold that I remember Trump playing the “Only way I can lose is by voter fraud” card long before the first vote in the 2016 election so to do so again — a 3-peat — was to be expected specially how he’s insanely driven.
A half sentence guide to him: however low you think of him, he’s much, much worse.
I don’t think “Stop the Steal” is misinformation, I think it’s quite deliberately disinformation.
[Deleted my original comment because I confused things further!]

You're totally right. I got myself wrapped around axle. Apologies for further confusing matters.

old enough to remember when "hush money" had really bad connotations!

IDK, I think the Schlapping is likely real, and who knows what gangster shit went down to get the guy to change his tune.

There should be a banner

Trump!
Loved SCOTUS yesterday: No
Standing Hawley.
Thanks David for another
good MM. You left out
Trump's latest grift though
