As we know, I’m pretty unimpressed by the courts in that for all the resistance to Trump’s lawlessness they’re producing, little of it is effective given POTUS’ mobster-like approach to court rulings (ignore them if you can) and, to a lesser degree, confidence in the Roberts court.
So question — so many cases, how many have resulted actual restrictions on presidential lawlessness and criminality?
Hi M. To your last question, I think quite a few. The Trump Administration is bogging down in suits, restraint orders and endless litigation. Some say America is a country forged in war. I see America as a country forged in litigation. Legal actions are used by all sides and the laws of which we have many stratified layers going back to the Federal era, are always double edged swords. Some say America is hyper-litigious and almost dysfunctional. I treasure that quality when it bogs down an administration like Trump's
I doubt you'll get the hard numbers you seek. Part of the whole point of the sustained shock and awe of the past 4 months is to have so.much going on at once that any attempt at analysis in anything approaching real time will be woefully incomplete.
Oh, probably but I’d be happy with an estimated percentage which may be possible but would require a shit ton of wading through the weeds if there’s not, say, an Izzy Stone-class niche journalist on it.
"“He’s a guy that was on the right side of a lot of issues …”" That pretty much sums up this administration's attitude towards crime. If you are on trump' side of the issues, you get a free pass at criming. You can poop on the Capitol floor, bludgeon cops, be a tax fraud--so long as you support trump, it's pardon time. And if you bring a lawsuit for all that pesky trouble of having to fail to convince a jury that you are innocent, the government might even PAY you.
Our fav tRumpy appointee, Ed Martin, hasn't missed a beat since passed over for DC Attorney, as he is going balls to the wall as DOJ "Pardon Attorney" — LOL! — in lining up loads of convicted felons for tRump pardons. Some go the Paul Walczak route and have Mummy pay a million bucks for a MAL "candlelight dinner" with tRump, while others go the "weaponization of fed prosecution" plea like the Chrisleys approach:
"Your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow,” Mr. Trump tells Savannah Chrisley, adding, “I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life.”
"I don't know them...", but Ed Martin gives them a solid, so out they go, with a fresh chance at new fraud scams...MAGA!
All RFK he’s life he has been an attention whore … saying anything … making up purported facts … with no expertise or real science behind it … to garner a following & get attention .. . He’s continuing to do the same … and playing with the lives of the public in his demented pursuit
Another great collection of news items, disquieting though they may be. I am optimistic at long làst that this administration is weakening, but in their desperation they may attempt rash acts and cause massive damage. A wounded predator can be very dangerous. I hope the judiciary can explored ways in which it can protect its personnel and actual physical properties,(we remember the GAO threatl and to explore a enued where they can quickly and expeditiously enforce their rulings in the event of executive heel-dragging or outright defiance and noncompliance.
Perhaps the MorningMemo should be retitled MorningFacistUpdate?
hilarious and unbearable. great combo!

I’m not sure your estimate of court successes are all that correct.
And by success, I obviously mean affecting administration actions.
So, you know, hard numbers sought.
And I find America founded on greed and genocide — as history shows.
We’ve tried to be better but that’s work and it’s hard…
