“It won’t include any gold or precious metals but will have a gold-like finish,” the WSJ reports."

In other words, fake. Just like the guy on the coin.

Very on-brand for Trump, actually.

Great minds thinking alike. I posted a similar comment at the same time.

Susie Wiles is as evil as the rest of them.

Don't ask me how, but I've known some drug users in my time, and they would NEVER leave drugs in plain view like that (as shown in the photos in the affidavit) in a MOVING VEHICLE. It gets frustrating sometimes as a Texas native when people who live in sane states write about the South because they don't seem to understand that law enforcement here has always been problematic, particularly for women and people of color. I get tired of the incredulity. We really do live in different countries.

ICE are the Brown shirts of the Trump fascist govt. I think that are trying to stir up opposition so that tRump who is backed by the corrupt 6 can declare martial law and cancel elections

Who will be liable for violating the law on coin production? What Democrats will utter a peep about this?

“'This is a concerted effort of death by a thousand cuts. Every day is another battle, but the war that we’re fighting is to maintain our democracy.'—Ingham County, Michigan, Clerk Barb Byrum (D), on Trump’s expanding whole-of-government effort to target free and fair elections."

I'm an Ingham County voter, and I thank God that I have conscientious officials like Barb Byrum and Lansing City Clerk Chris Swope guarding my right to vote. I hope there are many more like them, because we'll be needing them come November...

My brand is reality-fueled cynicism but I’m obligated to note the occasional crumb of good.

So thanks to those judges adhering to the rule of law and resisting Trump’s shit pulling, specially (but not only) the judges in Washington. (Comment re how the Roberts junta may react to that given the opportunity withheld because I’m being nice for a change.)

That said, I cannot help myself but note as ever that it’s beyond shameful that we don’t have a real opposition party and that Big Media much rather push lies than report honestly.

As for the Trump coin, I think I’m on record here as supporting all such things so tgat when he’s gone there’s more memories of the nightmare rather than fewer so maybe more people, given the opportunity, will figure out how to vote responsibly. Never forget and all that, but if reminders are needed, better more than fewer. Also: Always happy to Trump supporters ripped off buying Trump Shit®️.

Every day, I think of the 56 men who signed a declaration that ended with these powerful words: “For the support of this declaration... we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
