As you noted earlier in today's article, the campaign is picking up some of the legal fees, tRump's various "defense" PAcs are picking up fees, the MAGA rubes are picking up the fees...OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY is picking up the fees. tRump, I wager to say, is ZERO dollars out-of-pocket on legal fees, for himself or or others...he's "squandering" *other people's money*, which seems to be bottomless, end of.
As I think I noted in passing yesterday, I’m convinced that Trump is personally getting rebates on at least some of that $50m paid to lawyers.
And to emphasize what David noted, paying codefendants’ attorneys is 100% mafia defense.
Also because reasons I’m spending this cycle not trusting a single poll other than the election. So that ~55% who won’t vote for fPOTUS if convicted: I’d like to think in nine month just being accused of what appears to be well documented criminality and worse will, you know, repel enough voters.
