I guess we will see if DOJ stops any investigations of any trump family or "affiliates." And an addendum signed by Todd in this matter is a weird way of defining "recusal." FWIW, I cannot believe that that no prosecution deal or whatever between the mafia godfather wannabe and the IRS is binding past the second Trump is out of power (power, not office; there’s a difference).
Also can’t believe I’ll see a Democratic trifecta that will be willing *and able* to do anything about it — which would also require maybe SCOTUS reform. (OTOH, I’m not sure there are five votes to find the deal kosher.)

The language of the "Get-out-of-jail-free" one-pager is being misinterpreted by some media and commentators as confirming "lifetime immunity" from any tax audits or claims against the trump Criminal Family and trump organizations, but what it seemingly purports to state is any and all claims originating BEFORE the effective date of the publication of the addendum are hereby waived, but says nothing about any FUTURE claims or audits.
But, realistically, while trump is in office, the IRS will take a hard pass on trump's tax filings, and who's to say that he will even deign to file?
