Reed O'Connor, yet again...[sigh]. This "lawsuit" by Musk against Media Matters is similar to the Gawker case v Hunk Hogan that Peter Thiel financed, as all part of the oligarch playbook: pick a target you don't like, find a "victim", then sue the shit out of them in a friendly court, costing the defendant(s) hundreds of thousands to millions in legal fees. All part of MAGA Murkan "justice", as these tactics are perfectly "legal".
I hope the local press makes a point of it when people like "Thune (Busted For Playing Both Sides Of The Fence) … taking center stage at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a home-state water project that received $152 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Thune voted against."
Speaking of underreported and misreported stories a/k/a the mainstream news media continuing to harm the nation by BS reporting and failures, let's turn the clock back to that alleged assassination attempt on FPOTUS:
Was he really the target? What's the documentation for claims he was? As students of history might remember from JFK's assassination, killing the shooter ASAP is a great way to control the storyline.
Since the alleged target is a lifelong psychotic liar, why have the SS and FBI ceded control of the story to him and, for that matter, why are our exceptional elite news media cool with that?
Was FPOTUS really hit by a bullet? If a fragment, what was the bullet broken on?
That bandage he was seen wearing: exactly what was it supposed to be doing since, per early photos from the shooting site, it didn't look like it was on the actual wound site, just wound-adjacent.
How come within a week of the shooting there was no sign of a wound? I'm willing to attribute that to extensive scar tissue from all the tanning. FPOTUS' facial skin has looked awful for years. Of course, he's looked ugly AF for longer but I attribute that to the effects of shitty plastic surgery.
I know some of the answers to the above are out there for the googling but not all are and besides, life is short.
As for the Perlstein piece, well, I keep ranting about how this plays out--I have no doubt (again, life is short) that Kamala will outpoll Trump. But there's the Electoral College, SCOTGOP who've already proven to be as awful as an junta, and the sick fuck MAGAts. Which is to say it was great to see my superior human being (Perlstein) interviewing Neiwert. Just another the mainstream media are successfully ignoring or downplaying. Which is to say that David here (credit for linking to it!) failed to note it's an essential read. (FWIW, I think it's about 50-50 hell will open up--be opened by Trump--between 11/5/24 and 1/6/25 but I'm not certain.)
We had "the knoll" controversy at the time of the JFK assassination, and now we have "the ear" issue surrounding the tRump "assassination" attempt. And in no case has satisfactory answers emerged. Nor, apparently, will there ever.
My personal opinion of JFK is that Oswald was heavily involved let's say and it's all the peripheral and tangential and connecting stuff that the true deep state continues to hide (for no better reason than it would make them look bad or worse and clearly nothing's more important than maintaining the image). (Of course, the ancient joke is that the IC was light on intelligence, substituting paranoia in its place.)
What's no sane person has ever argued is that JFFK's dead, cause of death a shooting in Dallas 11/22/63.
But with the pathological POS that FPOTUS and his supporters in the FBI and SS aided by a bizarrely incurious establishment news media, there are questions about both his injury and whether he was really injured.
Of course, we live in much crazier times than ca 1963 with a good chance of getting much worse.
I would love to know how Trump could get his ear half shot off by an AK bullet, and less than 2 weeks later he's totally healed with no scab, no scar. I've had cat scratches that took longer to heal.
IIRC, the photo I saw where he looked as fine as he could was about one week post-shooting/“shooting”. Around the same time (TMI maybe), I had a little basal cell cancer removed from my scalp and I should only have healed that quickly and well. (Of course, the stitches didn’t speed things up but still.)
Anyone who thinks Trump will pass a law making insurance companies pay for IVF treatments must've just fallen off the turnip truck. He's promised a better, cheaper alternative to the ACA for 10 years, too. And infrastructure. And not to cut Social Security and Medicare. Trump is a liar. Once he wins in November, it won't matter that he lied because wtf are you going to be able to do about it?
Well, the Dept. of the Army sez "case closed", for whatever reason, and presumably the Secretary signed off on "nothing to see here". Very puzzling, since federal laws were clearly broken, including assault of a fed. employee.
The Army and the DOJ should be capable of filing charges without the lone staffer shouldering the responsibility, as federal laws and Army rules were flouted, and there are witnesses and a police report.
Regarding the Arlington Cemetery assault by the unnamed Trump
staffer, I would think the police report at least could be FOIA’ed, no? Also I assume that accused sexual harasser/assaulter Corey Lewandowski’s re-entry into the Trump campaign is a total coincidence. 😒
What to avoid like West Nile Fever-bearing mosquitos this morning: NYT, WaPo, Politico, ad nauseum, and their 3 or 5 or 6, or even 8 "takeaways" from last night's CNN "interview" of the Harris-Walz ticket...banal, insipid, and Beltway-centric rubbish, end of.
"In the new Democratic ticket’s first joint interview, Harris said she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet." From what I heard, she said she'd consider it. That's a little different. (I hope she doesn't. The age of the "good Republican" is long gone.)

#exceptional
And all this time later we somehow still supposedly have no idea who planted the pipe bombs.
It does seem odd that we haven't heard a thing about this.
Much odder than that the FBI hasn't disclosed anything at all.
Has the FBI closed the case, or has AG Garland just given up on the entire matter?
No it hasn't. They've been continually indicting people. The investigations continue.
Sure, the rioters, but in particular the pipe-bomb business...bupkis.
I hope the local press makes a point of it when people like "Thune (Busted For Playing Both Sides Of The Fence) … taking center stage at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a home-state water project that received $152 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Thune voted against."

That said, enjoy the weekend all.

Groan.

Question 7: where the f*** is DOJ? It's not the responsibility of the ANC staff to file charges fer chrissakes
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t believe we should be accepting any of this
Well, the Dept. of the Army sez "case closed", for whatever reason, and presumably the Secretary signed off on "nothing to see here". Very puzzling, since federal laws were clearly broken, including assault of a fed. employee.
The damage is being done without further action, so let’s see what’s next.
Let's see how much digging the MSM will do regarding this contretemps...personally, I look toward TPM and other non-mainstream online
sources to uncover the truth.
The Army and the DOJ should be capable of filing charges without the lone staffer shouldering the responsibility, as federal laws and Army rules were flouted, and there are witnesses and a police report.

Question # 5 is a very good one… awaiting an answer from the most transparent campaign EVER! … not holding my breath though…
"In the new Democratic ticket’s first joint interview, Harris said she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet." From what I heard, she said she'd consider it. That's a little different. (I hope she doesn't. The age of the "good Republican" is long gone.)
