Morning memo is honest investigative journalism at a crucial moment when it is imperative to pay attention to and report on events, corporations, money flows outside of any 'both sides' equivalence. TRUTH rises above that tired and simplistic journalistic model.

Thank you.TPM morning memo

Great roundup David. Especially grateful you included the link for Rachel Maddow (and that it wasn't on X, which I know is not under your control)

“ Not an inherently unreasonable decision,” surely you jest. I was once fifteen minutes late to court for a $25 ticket and the judge made me pay a $250 bond to stay out of jail on the spot. And that was when $250 was a week's wages, that is if you had a good job. All a these judges are pro MAGAT. They give MAGATs break after break after break after break.

You know, after seeing what the appeals court did to the Engoron judgment, and how tRump is gaining nearly a BILLION dollars in equity every two days of trading in his social media stock, I'm actually beginning to believe that he in fact DOES have a genius into making money at others expense, AND he's got the bulk of the state/fed court system bamboozled. Accountability? Crime DOESN'T pay? Got news for you, bro, he knows his marks, and its ALL of us...Jesus Christ almighty!

A fucking Brain-Dead Moron and a goddamned Silly Con Valley Lawyer with the money to finance the campaign. What a pair of egomaniacs and further proof that Silly Con Valley needs to be reined in. CLOSELY.

I never watch the talking head debate format as it doesn’t add anything to my understanding of an issue. It only muddies the waters. I hope Ronna HAS destroyed that format because it surely isn’t news. It’s just another example of our inability to come together to make reasonable decisions that do the least amount of harm to the least number of people. The format actually increases dissension and distrust.

Rather difficult to argue against the NY Appeals Court's bond reduction for tRump being anything other than a heads-up on a coming significant roll-back of the entirety of the judgment imposed on tRump, his spawn, tRump Org, etc. Only the Monitor and Compliance Director avoided the broad stay of Judge Arthur Engoron's civil penalties, and it signals another tRump skate past the accountability post...so much winning!

Elizabeth Prelogar owned SCOTUS today; Hawley’s wife, not so much. Even ACB caught her lie about her examples cited.

Wow David! Excellent Morning Memo today, top

to bottom.

Thanks especially for

including the Reuters link.

I read that yesterday and was

disgusted with these uber

wealthy willing to bail out a

crook.

SCOTUS - Too much of a lady

to put in print what I think of

these 6 particular black

robes.

Professor Timothy Snyder is

great. He's here on Substack.

The video of collision with

the Francis Scott Key bridge

was frightening. They're still

searching for bridge workers.

Honeybees it is known by careful observation, choose when swarming, a new hive site via a democratic process. They have survived millennia.

In the US, we select our president via a rigged corporate and political coordination where embarrassing questions are eliminated. Ages ago the so called debates were run by the League of Women Voters, until they got too serious about honesty.

Our nation has been on a steady decline for so long that unless one pays attention all seems “normal”.

David, your summaries and TPM are necessary but frustrated by lack of unified power against corporate inertia. Many new progressive voices need a moral opposite to Rupert Murdoch to distribute these stories, it seems.
