A dismal day and date that shall forever remain in infamy...but here we are, "celebrating" a peaceful deliverance of the Electoral College result with Jan 6. 2021 receding rapidly into "history" without the complete reckoning that was required.

We've been chumped, people, and we know it.

The only thing saving this date for me is that it is my oldest nephew's birthday and I can focus on him and celebrate him. Otherwise, what a sh*t day for our country. I keep thinking the folks who celebrate what happened will turn it into another point of pride along the lines of the Confederacy ... which as a Mississippian I've had to deal with almost everyday of my life.

Fasten the seatbelts of democracy, and get ready for a bumpy ride ahead.

Thank you for writing the truth as you see it.

The seatbelts of democracy...and human decency. This is not entirely political. It is also about humanity.

Brett Ratner. Another abuser/assaulter of women. Apparently a requirement for anyone working with TruZos. And no, we are not beyond Jan. 6, and am disappointed in Joe for having said that.

Interesting link to the real time tracking of the traffic in nyc. Looks like it’s working! Funny thing tho for some reason it includes Route 16 Coolidge corner to Boston city hall lol. I wonder if Boston is also considering congestion charge?

I guess today’s the day to consider whether our democracy, in practice, died long ago. For one thing, neither party has any interest in the wellbeing of the majority of the nation’s populace.

Too, more relevantly, there’d have been a sober discussion about the applicability of the 14th amendment’s section 3 to Trump’s acts on 1/5-6/2021. Of course, the GOP majority on SCOTUS long ago made it clear what they think of the constitution — and the national Democrats have in turn made it clear what they think of that (not a problem).
