Absolutely agree...Cannon's gross inexperience and prickly nature directed to the prosecution, plus her severe dress-down earlier by the 11th CA points to some serious coaching on the sidelines to avoid prosecution motions to reconsider - or worse - all the while expertly stalling out the trial to virtually disappear ANY trial dates for this year.
A disgrace to the federal court system, and an insult to meaningful justice.

She will put it off as long as DOJ acquiesces. DOJ should've filed at least dozen recusal motions by now. In fact at this point DOJ needs to drop the case in Florida and file it in DC which is where the actual crime of theft took place. I will never understand the reasoning for filing in Florida. TBH the Cannon news came very close to me rerunning my preference that Trump be tried in the court of public opinion rather than risk an acquittal on any of the remaining criminal cases. (An acquittal in the NY election fraud case would have been dismissible for the same reason some were dismissive of it before it was tried--that is, that crime was something of a technicality.)
But taking a pass on that.
But that news in the bulk of the post... just contemplating it was triggering to me so I'm presuming it would also be triggering for some here. So I'm taking a pass on saying anything more on that either.

The Big News: There was still NO opinion on Trump's bogus immunity claim.
