I'm more convinced now - with the Hegseth nomination getting trashed daily, and Gaetz's is history - that tRump derives both a "fuck you" delight and a sadistic pleasure watching his nominees spontaneously combust. Delighted to give outrage to "established norms", and then to humor himself as these wretched choices get chewed up mercilessly, and he DOESN'T RAISE A FINGER to give them a leg up.

Such a perverse individual...this just isn't some game he carries out within the tRump Org., this is the Presidency, ffs. Sure, Gaetz and Hegseth are grossly flawed people, but to be purposefully set out as piñatas and further broken speaks volumes about tRump himself, as if further revelations are even necessary. It just sickens me to imagine tRump rejoicing as he takes his second so-called "oath of office"...feh!

Thank you David for your

sailing blurbs. Too bad

someone can't pull the plug

on the MAGA house & senate

boats. Am waiting for a super

storm in the Atlantic, aimed

only at Mar-a-Lardo while the

orange yam is playing golf, as

God's and Mom Nature's

fingers in his eyes.

Democrats are very quiet.

They need to get with their

constituents and learn some

cold hard facts. No more

being nice.

Have a great weekend all.

My neighbor introduced me to Lake Street Dive some time ago. Rachel Price was amazing at age 12! I remembered the name immediately as my friend lived on Lake St in Bucktown, Metairie. Thanks for the reminder to keep listening...

“...and not previously reported" — Harry Litman on his substack reported it earlier along with his resignation from LAT — but your point is well taken.

On one hand, at the end of the day it’ll barely matter, on the other it shows how crappy the news media covering this like it matters all that much. (With a few exceptions, it’s going to be the appointees lower down doing the real damage.)

I think I might be required to step back from my cynical assumption that Der Fuhrer had no interest in his exceptional nominees being submitted to the Senate from that norm of advisin’ and consentin’ and he’d rather abuse his party members into approving his picks, disgusting as they are (or worse, maybe, in Gabbard’s case).

Yeah, sure, maybe that’s his game. That or it’s just grist for the Trump Show S2.
