I still need it explained as to why Aileen Cannon isn’t admonished or directed to act in a more speedy way re this trial. Why does there need to be an appealable offense? Is there a possibility that another court or a higher ranking judge that will step in and get this show back on track? Where are the checks and balances of the court system? Us "regular" folks would be in serious trouble if we treated our own jobs with such disregard to the rules that govern our profession.

She obviously doesn't give a shit what Jack Smith says about her tactics on the bench, it's always been "my court, my way", and now Cannon is defying the Special Counsel in such a way to invite a appeal motion, but with little chance of success.
This trial is and has been moribund for months, and only if tRump loses in November will the judge get serious about actually conducting normal courtroom proceedings. Look elsewhere, people, it ain't happening here.

It's official, Cannon today ordered an "indefinite suspension" of the trial because "issues", i.e., legal stuff she's totally clueless about...oy vey.
