WaPo art. behind a paywall, but the lede says it all...tRump isn't hiding it any longer, no cute words or dog-whistles, just straight-up mob-boss threats. Curious to see if other MSM outlets follow the WaPo lead, or do they somehow both-sides weasel-word their way along reporting on this latest bit of gangsterism from tRump?

NYT wrap-up of tRump's post-hearing rant had NO mention of his "bedlam" threat, or anything even suggestive of a violent outcome to a guilty verdict...so what else is new?

One thing the NYT did do is publish an editorial warning about the dangers of Trump. It’s the most serious and alarming message they’ve ever put out about Trump. I lost the location of the gift link that someone sent out, so I can’t post it here.

TRUMP: The insurrection clause applies to members of Congress—but not the president.

TRUMP: I could become qualified before the inauguration by 2/3 of Congress removing the restriction.

Sure. If there's enough loyalty left after some have been disqualified by their OWN involvement in the insurrection.

Re SCOTUS and Colorado: one would expect them to restore the monster to the ballot except -- and I can certainly be wrong here -- I can’t see how they do it without crapping all over the concept of states be fully responsible for the electors who get elected. Reminder: POTUS is not directly elected.

All that said, this court fully capable of pulling every and anything needed out of their butts, no legal or anything required.
