Glad to hear you're all right. My husband and mother died about 10 weeks apart and now my son has stage 4 colon cancer, so I understand all too well what overwhelming means. It never rains but it pours. I knew it wasn't you yesterday and was worried. It didn't sound like your writing - and I've never caught a typo from you where there were several yesterday. I sometimes think being a proofreader is some sort of disability since you can never read anything without seeing mistakes. Again, glad your on the way to recovery.
Oh my goodness...I wish you could just check out of this work and be with your family to heal together; so much to carry! A parent is only as happy as their least happy child, and yet you also are broken (literally). Prayers for physical and emotional healing. Amen
