There was some excellent reporting on previous MD governor Hogan, who is now running for higher office, and his policies paving the way for large container ships to boost Baltimore and MD economy. The risks to FSK bridge were identified by the insurer. That seems more newsworthy than the DEI distraction of 2 competent and capable politicians.
With a judge like Cannon presiding, who needs a "delay strategy" for the defense when the judge herself has impossibly tied up the case in unresolved motions, and as yet failed to address a rescheduling of the May trial date. Once this indictment hit her courtroom it was DOA, and now she's even proposing jury instructions that would basically excuse tRump's conduct in document pilfering, and just blow up the prosecution's case.
As ever, the question is raised: how much is fPOTUS’ vile spew canny playing to his supporters and, to a lesser degree, our exceptional elite news media, and how much is cognitive decline? (As always, TOM is not being tarred by that brush. Within its area, it’s terrific, probably indispensable.)
Personally, as a dotard, or maybe just as someone adjacent to normal, I’ve now achieved minimum tolerance for election and BLOTUS reporting. Tuning out til there’s something new and important.
And speaking of the FSK bridge, I’m going pass on criticism of the powers that beat the time choosing a bridge I’ve a tunnel but the reluctance in reporting to note that freighters are multitudes larger than they were when the bridge went up so, you know, maybe some vigilance has been required.
