I appreciate your note at the end. While I detest Elon Musk and his takeover and rebranding of Twitter to X, it is a source of information, and I trust you to make the call as you see fit to keep us apprised of important information and events.

It's telling that DOJ did not charge attempted assassination, my guess is because it's not illegal to hide in a bush for eight hours with a cache of rifles and ammunition, at least in Florida.

I don't like using X😕

But, I am maintaining my "critical thinking skills"😊

My silo is partisan toward facts and trusted sources!

Substack just announced they'll have videos too.

Thank you David for your

opening and closing words,

as well as Kamala Harris

video. I'm not a member of X

and never will be, but can

view these clips without

paying for them.

JD Vance is a very dangerous

individual. Notice how his presentation and crowds

are changing.

Thank you for the video clip of Harris talking about Springfield, Ohio. What Trump and Vance are doing to that town is a preview of what they will do to America.

Not that Threads is really any better but just wanted to note that I saw almost all these posts there yesterday.

I like the X videos. If you go FB, I won’t be able to see them.

“ Those explicit racist messages – not dog whistles, not coded, not euphemized – come through loud and clear to all who are listening”

Sigh, what is missing in the lives of voters that their brains are rewarded for believing lies? What makes cynicism beneficial? Are lives empty because of the destruction of the middle class since the Reagan and neoliberal years?

The daily news reports and frames the tactical events, and we readers of TPM seem to think differently than fascist supporters. What do we have that “they” don’t?

Seems worth pondering.

Thanks to all the TPM staff.

Everything that has needed to be said regarding tRump has been said...what more commentary can possibly further define this monster?

Re the links to Xitter to watched third parties’ videos: I’m not sure going to the source—CNN for today’s embedding— is terribly burdensome.

Xitter is still more than just a playground for Nazis and other similarly impaired people because way too many media types refuse to let go.

That said—back to the video thing—I’m perfectly willing to accept that Morning Memo is as labor intensive as David’s time allows. So I’m limiting my critique there to the many. Because we all know there no great reason for most media on Xitter to remain. It’s not a need, it’s a choice.

for GOP hate mongering it is hard to beat Senator Kennedy. See the following (from the actual hearing ABOUT hate)--starts at about 2.5 minutes in, his godawful "questioning" of Maya Berry, the Executive Director of Arab American Institute. She holds her own very well, but he keeps at it and even claims she said what she just explicitly DID NOT say.

Can you at least indicate with an (X) or ($) just before the link if it's to Xitter or paywalled? And if you do link to Xitter, please comment to the poster that BlueSky now has video -- they should move and tell their followers!

The GOP is not a political party, it's a sickness.

I don’t need new and innovative, I like words.

Thanks for hearing the plea to have fewer video links. If you feel it important to hear the words from the horse's mouth, if you can include a transcript of the important segment, that would be appreciated.
