MTP continues its decline into nothingness, as Welker gets haplessly played by yet another MAGA tRumper fanatic, and seemingly is rendered helpless into even minimal pushback. Stefanik played the old favs, even updated the Jan6 convicted into "hostages", per the latest tRump spin...oh, she even declined to accept the results of the coming election unless "something-something "constitution" something.". In other words, only if tRump wins.

Welker is so bad that the previously gold-standard "chucktodd," an internationally-recognized measure of political ignorance, is being replaced with the "welker." It's even more finely calibrated to demonstrate the degree of stupidity.

Further proof that Hah-vahd is not sending us their best.

Perhaps devise a metric similar to a "Friedman unit", which got a lot of use during the Iraq invasion. In that vein, one "welker" is one lie by a guest gone unchallenged, and since taking over from Chuck Todd, she has rung up a boatload of welkers. Why are these people even given such a role as "interviewer", when they persistently fail their audience?

Time to re-read Chris Hayes' "Twilight of the Elites," which is one of the most on-target explanations ever published.

I stopped watching MTP some time ago. It used to be a fabulous program, now it is worthless.

I agree. Kristen (...but what about the emails?!) Welker is the worst possible person to host that. Even more so than Chuck Todd. I was glad to see him go but MTP has not been worth watching for years.

Good morning. A correction please on Mike Johnson. He's a (R)ethuglican from Louisiana. You have him with a capital D.

Going to be an interesting week and as far as Musk is

concerned, he's a danger to

humanity and space!

1. In anything like a normal world, our exceptional government would be working ASAP to have as little to do as possible with Musk’s companies.

2. Re the NRA LaPierre built, a required reminder that it laundered foreign monies so they could appear to be legal political contributions. Back in that normal world this isn’t, DOJ would be all over this.

We should send Babbit's family a bill for the bullet that killed her.

You want to know how big a moron Babbitt was? In 18 years in the Air Force she couldn't get past Airman 1st (E-3). Promotion in the Chair Farce is notoriously slow, but that takes the cake.

From the ABC excloo:

Testifying before the House committee, an aide to Meadows similarly said she heard Meadows say of Trump that day, "He doesn't want to do anything."

When informing tRump that VP Pence was being taken to a secure location, tRump responded, "So what?"

And THAT about sums up both tRump's "state of mind" and "dereliction of duty" in two pithy sentences. And to think that the POS is making the constitution provision of the Executive to *Take Care* as part of his Big Lie "defense"...no, irony is indeed NOT dead.

It’s time for top Trump enablers like former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to stop bending a knee to Trump. Penitence is a long journey, but a hopeful one. Ask John Dean.
