Lots of good stuff here, really appreciate the link to Sneed’s profile on Cannon and loved the links to the Veteran’s stories. Thanks!

I am so glad we cry over the same things. A very moving story. Thank you for highlighting it.

Every day, it seems, tRump is doubling down on his "revenge prosecutions" theme, despite useful idiots like Hannity trying to gently allow tRump to walk back the more flagrant and indefensible remarks. It leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination, and tRump is laying out precisely his top agenda items should he be elected.

Nobody in the MSM can possibly ignore, "both-sides", or "whatabout" that which this orange gangster wants to do as president...it's all there daily, in black and white, no "interpretation" needed. Heed his words, people, he's coming for us.

As a Federal retiree, I fully expect that if the Orange Gelatinous bullies his way into the Oval Office, I will be required to sign a loyalty oath if I want my monthly annuity to continue. He will raid the Treasury. I can’t believe I’m talking about this. These are mobsters and when they tell you what they are, and what they will do, believe them.

So, an old fart theory to ponder: we’re like a highly dysfunctional family in need of a new daddy because all the daddies we choose are abusers. The alternative is to grab and retain enough power that we don’t need any daddies if we can’t at least choose better. But nah, the default is just accept being abused.

That said, gotta sat I take my own breath away with so broad an oversimplification but that’s not to say I’m completely wrong.

I’d also like to think that that oversimplification applies to no one here.

Anyway. Trump’s threats. Of course he would and can go after anyone and everyone. The questions are merit and how morally and otherwise corrupt the judiciary is. Too, circling back: what else other than vindictive hysteria like that can one expect from someone as infantile as Trump? (And thanks again to the Founding Fathers for preventing the direct election of POTUS’. Some how in preventing the masses from electing someone profoundly unfit for the office, the Electoral College gave us someone historically unfit. The irony never fails to amaze me. Likewise that to my feeble recollection, the EC never improved on the popular vote ever.)

Sigh, a day of incomprehensible stories. The election clerk story was terrifying. How can people THINK like those running the recall? "You must have rigged the election because trump didn't win by ENOUGH??" In their minds, votes for Biden are not just unimportant, they can't possibly have happened. Trump is the only one anyone could possibly vote for. Glad to see the recall has so far failed, but I wouldn't blame the clerk for moving to California. Perhaps if the 124 people who voted for Biden went with her, the town could just live in its own little Dyson Sphere (bubble has too many connotations of transparency.) Or if the zealots could identify those 124, they could ask the proud boys to take them out with air strikes and purify the town.

I posted my experience with powder in envelopes in comments on the story itself.

I'm still working on the trump stories.

He claims a lot of shit but does not in any way make it true. If there is sufficient evidence of illegal behavior, it’s up to the courts. Now that might be a crapshoot but we have to abide by the law and hope that there are some good people out there who feel the same.

We cannot for any reason let him circumvent our laws. It may not be business usual but we’re going to make it work. There will be days after Trump and we’ll just march on with the Constitution.
