Stellar reporting and editorial commentary, David, on the wrecking ball that the rebarbative and amoral trump embodies. trump's actions can be described as that of a human analogue of a malicious AI "agent" that has been set a task to destroy all that preceded him, "without fear or favor", and is mindlessly plowing through institutions, rules of conduct, tradition, and people to achieve that objective. No "sandbox" seems to constrain his machinations other than the federal courts — including Scotus, but as you noted, this "agent" finds workarounds...put up a roadblock, he'll find alternative pathways to achieve his goals.

The time is long overdue to pull the plug on this humanoid HAL and his destructive impulses.

Trump, *like the Republican Party itself*, never stops unless he chooses to. The great example of late is the tariffs. On one hand, nearly no one says No to Trump. On the other, Donny doesn’t take rejection well in the least. What do y’all think the “Big Lie” and J6 were about?

And so on and so forth.

For both Donny and the GOP, a defeat is a battle lost; the war (or serial abuse in Trump’s case) goes on.

It’s libs who confuse a battle won with a final victory.

But let’s just keep underestimating them and overestimating our brief victories…

It’s really worked out well the last couple of decades…

And good luck to Canada. Because that’s something of another battle won that will last however long it does…

I hope voters realize that even after the blue wave, it will take decades to fix what MAGA and Republicans have broken. I don’t know that we’ll ever repair our standing on the world stage.

This is what a domestic abuser says before offing his prey.

Sadly, this is SO on-point! When this villainous husk was created every evil thing, ever, was implanted in it/him🤬 Excellent article, David and TPM team. Let's use these examples to harden the next democratic republic we attempt!

I’ve come to believe that the only way to deal with Trump and Trumpism is to 1) Do everything we can to work around him/it, to fix things appropriately and with long-lasting effect. And, thereby deny him the legacy that he has attempted, which is the destruction of liberal democracy. 2) To ignore him while he is in office. That doesn't mean we don’t keep up with what he’s doing. We certainly need to do that, I mean instead to not give him our energy or our time as an individual. We need to stop using the word, Trump. We need to stop covering his antics other than to stipulate that this is what we are doing to offset the damage being done by the “administration”. The media needs to stop covering him and ignore him as if he is insignificant. 3) When he is out of office, everything with the name Trump on it, every aspect, every breath that he has put upon the American institutions and American culture needs to be erased-as Germany did with Hitler. All mention of him gone other than to teach the history of the mindset so as to never let this happen again. In other words he should hold no sway and no remembrance upon the footprint of the US and our people.
