Lawyers vs justice, “It’s a collective failure. And Trump continues to exploit it“:

The realities of power to which we readers of progressive news are hostage along with the seemingly coming world order.

John Wayne isn’t going to save us at the last moment….

Again, a well thought and written summary of our predicaments, thank you.

Why has SDNY started producing all this new evidence? Well, those who hve been paying attention may remember how far in the bag SDNY has been for Trump back in 2015-20. SDNY and the associated FBI office needs an extensive fumigation to clear out all the MAGArats.

The title of your morning memo says it all. The judicial system needs a major overhaul. If there is a “deep state,” it’s working on the behalf of Defendant Trump. I’m disgusted and disillusioned. I had hope that at least he would be held to account in these most obvious of crimes, and in a timely manner. From Merrick Garland on down (excluding the superlative Jack Smith), I am disgusted.

Took Susan Glasser’s advice and listened to Trumps GA rally. The 2 hr waste of time brought me back to 2016-2020 and the physical dread my body felt listening to his rants. NO thanks! But isn’t it interesting that each thing he is accused of he turns around and says that is what Biden is guilty of?

On trump's Georgia rally speech. It is worth reading the Cary Grant bit, which I have elsewhere described as what happens to word salad when you scrape the salad into the disposal.

*********

Somebody said he [Biden] looks great in a bathing suit, right? And you know, when he was in the sand, having a hard time lifting his foot through the sand, because, you know, sand is heavy, three solid ounces per foot, but sand is a little heavy, and he is sitting in a bathing suit. At 81, do you remember Cary Grant? How good was he, right? I don't know what happened to movie stars today. We used to have Cary Grant, Glark Gable, and today – I will not say names because we don't need enemies. I get enough enemies. Cary Grant was like Michael Jackson once told me, the most handsome man in the world, Cary Grant, and we don't have that anymore. The Cary Grant at 81 or 82, going on 100, this guy, he is 81 going on 100, Cary Grant would not look too good in a bathing suit either, and he was pretty good-looking, right?

The hits just keep coming...the latest, in Manhattan, is totally down to SDNY attorneys who seemingly deliberately hung onto records demanded by tRump's lawyers, then released a shit-ton just days before the trial was to kick off. Somebody really screwed the pooch here, and as usual one wonders if it was purely intentional...whenever tRump is involved, bad shit follows.

I’m in a pissy old fart mode so going to be bluntly concise:

The case for risking an acquittal for BLOTUS instead of letting him twist in the wind, drowning innuendo and accusations escapes me. Like an acquittal at trial is better than an ever growing flood of accusations.

McAfee’s decision is both perfect and correct.
