Re the Loomer/MTG nothingburger: when I say the entire GOP, voters and politicians all, suffer from some mental illness or another, I am neither joking nor engaging in hyperbole. For example this:
There, a pathological, delusional inability or refusal to acknowledge and deal with reality and facts. And then there’s those for whom a tax cut (likely a small one) justifies voting for Trump. And the there are the politicians who pander to them as well as support Trump with no meaningful concern of the cost to the nation and the world of having him back in office. Nothing normal, let alone sane, anywhere there.
And one looks in vain for any article within WaPo and NYT that singled out Loomer as part of tRump's entourage, let alone her "truther" views on 9-11. Also, the tRump-Harris "friendly handshake" was anything but...a transparent effort by tRump to pull Harris toward him while gripping her hand, and Harris trying to shake him off. "Alpha-dog" no more, scheisskopf!
I'm long past the point of expecting anything good from the major news media and exceptions to the rule are undercut by being exceptions.
As for the handshake, I saw Kamala as the initiator, walking into Donnie's space and he hesitating for a second to take her hand.
A lot of Trump is bluff and fraud and being the bully. There's mostly the strength he's allowed by people being submissive. So what Kamala, Muir and Davis did was highly unusual--indeed, the first I've seen him called out in public to his face as being repeatedly full of shit. One who cares doesn't need reporting when all the video of him being weak and insane's out there. As I keep saying, there's going to be precious little reporting on Trump that can do tear him down as well as just showing him being he without any filters. But props to Kamala, Muir, Davis and ABC (for allowing or enabling Muir and Davis) getting the shit done of exposing the fucker.
And also shown during the debate was a man so weak that anyone would a working mind (see the Perlstein piece again) would have to think long and hard whether that weak man is who one wants dealing with adversaries--on top of all his other shortcomings like skewing foreign policy to enable a grift.
Of course, whether that's all enough to keep him out of office, who knows. Time will tell.
While Greg Sargent is certainly correct about the "slow burning" authoritarian fire that will be happening should Trump be returned to office. But there are other faster burning fires whether he wins or loses that will need to be prevented or stopped:
And Leonard Leo has a multi-billion dollar budget for his "weaponization" projects, as he acts as the nexus of bundling and apportioning far-right billionaire money to bring 21st Century fascism to the US
The Venezuelan reporter questioning Steven Miller should be a model for all. While Miller refused to answer a direct question and continued spewing hate and fear, the reporter calmly reiterated the question, thus proving that Miller had no basis for all his 'facts'.
If it happens, there will be a lot of “good Americans” just like there were “good Germans” who very carefully did not see what was happening all around them.

I was referring to his handshake at the 911 Memorial services...playing Mr Macho and Kamala wasn't having any of it.
Ah, of course.

Hagerty and Tuberville, each vying to out-cretin each other. And these two say all that needs to be said about TN and AL voters...smfh.
Hagerty and Blackburn!! 2 of the dumbest senators! Sadly, from my state, Tennessee!😫
Gloria Johnson for senate 👏 💙💙💙

“Information on the internet” is not evidence.
They’re not hiding what they want to do.

Steven Miller is slime from
the primordial swamp. He can
hold hands with L. Loomer.
Greg Sargent is right to a
certain extent. As Gregg
above pointed out, there are
other, faster burning
authoritarian fires burning in
our country. Hopefully
Homeland Security is aware
and working to put them out.
Good to see J6 2025 ranks
up top. 11/5 and 12/15 are 2
other dates that should be on
that list.
He lives in Northeast Harbor, Maine, near Acadia NP and has a bodyguard with him constantly.
This was a much better article on Leonard Leo and his latest crusade against the ‘dangerous woke mind virus’ and ‘woke banks’ ….what a freak!
