“Source: Wall Street Journal telephone and text-to-web survey of 1,500 registered voters conducted Aug. 24 - 30. Graphic reflects responses of 750 voters; margin of error: +/-3.6 pct. pts.”
Half of those contacted didn’t respond. +/-3.6 is a fairly big spread.
Given that it’s ~14 months before the election, what’s shown in the poll is a concern, not something to panic over yet.
Add to the mix the harm done by the establishment media.
talk about self-selection!! I don't answer calls from unknown numbers and label as junk anything in my inbox--email and text--where I don't recognize the sender. The chances I'd respond to anything that said it was a "survey" or "poll" are below nil. Looks like 750 recipients agree with me.
I have a little experience with surveys but don’t know that get responses of 50% is good or bad. Past experience says it may be okay, but in the context of a political survey, I would think it way too high. So +/-3.6% should be a couple of magnitudes higher. It then seems to follow that the survey at hand is essentially worthless.
We know without polls that people don’t directly elect POTUSes, the Electoral College does. I doubt that a granular breakdown of polls would be as close as the subject poll shows.
And, you know, 14 months before the election, and during the week leading up to an end of summer holiday weekend?
The overpaid, under-intelligent, otherwise-unemployable trust fund babies of the Press Corpse loved all the high ratings they got when Trump was in office. They'd kill (you and me) to get back to that as their reality is they become more irrelevant every day.
Yes, it’s funny how they have no interest in attracting audiences of any decent size with facts, important subjects, and proper framing, and instead happy being in small niches. I guess the owners prefer pumping their Panglossian propaganda and have audiences so small that a couple thousand more justifies 24/7 fPOTUS.
Still don’t get it. But I’m at the age where there’s a lot I don’t get; crazy times and all that.
How worthless is a Congressional subpoena when Navarro is just going to trial today, and not to enforce the subpoena, but for contempt of Congress? Completely worthless.
Just when I think my mouth can't open any wider in gaping disbelief...
Your writing and editing are fantastic, but why are you couching it as “Twitter/X” when “X/Twitter” is right there for the taking?
Even better is Xitter - pronounced "shitter".

As I said, at this point just a concern.

I think the faux indignation started with the “war” on Christmas

Hopes for Jill Biden's speedy recovery. As for the others--there should be a warning on THEM: "wear mask when reading; may induce nausea."
